The languages under the protection of the Charter may be categorised as follows:

1.	Territorial languages covered only by Part II of the Charter
2.	Non-territorial languages covered only by Part II of the Charter
3.	Languages covered by Part II and III of the Charter (less than 35 undertakings of Part III)
4.	Languages covered by Part II and III of the Charter (at least 35 undertakings of Part III)
	and
5.	All languages under the protection of the Charter
